What’s the most terrifying thing you’ve ever done?
For me it was packing up all my belongings, saying goodbye to my family, my friends, and my dog and moving to a new city without having a job or any sort of direction planned for my life.
That was two years ago.
Time certainly flies.
It was never goodbye, it was simply “see ya later”.
Today I am happy, healthy, and grounded in my life. I have a great support system of family and friends and I work at a job that continuously challenges me and gives me the freedom to grow professionally.
I’ll admit, I’m still looking to find some direction in my life, but aren’t we all? Right now I’m choosing to celebrate the successes I’ve had along the way and appreciate all that I’ve overcome to get this far.
What do we want? More awesome! When do we want it? Now!
When I was in Grade 12 I wrote down a list of goals for myself. I wrote out one year, five year, and ten year stretch goals.
I’m amazed to say that I hit every single one of them.
Now if that isn’t one of the most fulfilling things in this world, what is?
So now, I’m ready. Ready for more awesome, now! Ready for whatever life wants to give me; the ups and the downs and all the lessons in between.
Today, I’m going to go home and write another set of goals and in ten years, I’ll achieve all of those too!
That’s the power of wishful thinking.
And that’s the power of just how damn awesome I am.
How damn awesome are you? Let me know in the comments section below!
