5 Reminders For When You Feel Lost

For you, when you feel lost and hopeless.

For you, when you feel underappreciated and overworked.

For you, when you don’t know which direction to turn.

For you, when you need a little hope to brighten your day.

  1. You are loved.

Whatever problems you may have or whatever issues you may be dealing with, keep close to your heart the thought that there is someone out there who cares for you and who loves you. Be humbled and hopeful that there is someone who smiles at the thought of you and someone who thinks of you when they need strength.

If anything gives you consolation today, let it be this.

  1. You are appreciated.

I appreciate you. I appreciate you for reading what I have to say and I appreciate you for being in my life even if only for this brief moment in time.

That stranger that you smiled to on the street? They appreciate your kind gesture. The driver you thanked while exiting the bus? They appreciate your acknowledgement. Your mother (whom you should call after reading this)? She appreciates your thought and care when you stop in to say hi.

  1. You add value to the lives of every person you meet.

There is no one like you on this planet. Your face, your thoughts, your words, your mannerisms – they are all yours to command and to keep. You are a force of nature and you will leave an impression on everyone you meet.

  1. You will find direction again.

Having a direction means having a destination. Focus on what you need, not only what you want, and you will find that destination. Each decision we make – no matter how big or small – will take us closer to that..

  1. You will get through this.

Because you are you. And you are spectacular.

They say a person needs just three things to be truly happy in this world: someone to love, something to do, and something to hope for. – Tom Bodett
